PRVD STORIES EVENT

I know you all have stories to share – take a moment to type them up or write them down, and send them to me! Anything CS-related will work, whether it is a call/email of your own or one that you observed.
We will be reviewing all submissions to compile the best entries to share with the whole team. In addition, we will select winners and runners-up in 3 categories:
Most Heartwarming
Stories that make you go, “Aww…”
Most Outrageous
Over-the-top experiences: Good, bad, and ugly!
Most Hilarious
When you have to use Mute for a bit to laugh
EMILY submitted the following "HILARIOUS" story:

On Friday afternoons when we get busy or when it's taking longer than normal for my computer screen to load, I break the ice by joking with my customers and telling them, "My computer is being a little slow at the moment so I do apologize - I think the machine must know it's Friday today!"
The customer usually has a laugh or a sigh of happiness to hear the word "Friday" and sometimes tells me about their own slow computers.
Last week I had a very funny customer named Ruth M. who sweetly asked me if my computer also "dresses casually" on Friday.
It was the perfect answer very with excellent comedic timing.
It certainly made me laugh out loud and my long afternoon go by much faster!
Another "HILARIOUS" story submitted but NINA RUTH:
Gentleman Goes Courting
This was a phone call that made me thankful that because the dear elderly gentleman was soooooooo hard of hearing, I didn't even need the MUTE button to cover my giggles! I had to shout practically every word into the microphone, and that led to…
ME: "We have a 7-day freshness guarantee..."
CX: "Her name is Linda."
ME: "What day would you like these delivered?"
CX: I'm not in love with her, but I like the lady a lot."
ME: "May I have the recipient's phone number?"
CX: "My zip code is..."
You get the picture! It was hilarious, but the best part was when we got to the card message, which he wanted to sign, "From your best BF," as he explained to me they called each other "My GF (girlfriend)" & "My BF (boyfriend)." This was made all the more adorable when he proudly informed me of his age as we winded the call up...96! He was 96 years old! Too cute! :-)
